Nilai, 22 April – A seminar titled “Unlocking the Potential of IBS: Insights, Innovation & Implementation” was successfully held with strong participation from key industry players. Organised by REHDA Selangor, the event aimed to foster greater awareness on Industrialised Building System (IBS) practices and innovations among developers, contractors, and construction professionals.
One of the highlights of the seminar was a presentation by En. Zaharuddin Mohamed Tambah from CIDB IBS, who shared valuable insights on the IBS Score 70 requirement, particularly in reference to the latest circular issued by the Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT). His session emphasized the importance of meeting compliance under CIS 18:2023, especially for government and large-scale private sector projects.
The seminar also featured presentations from MGB Berhad, CIDB CREAM and Nippon Paint, covering topics ranging from affordable housing strategies and quality enhancement through QLASSIC, to innovation in IBS implementation. The event concluded with a guided visit to the MGB Sany IBS Factory, offering participants a firsthand look at modern IBS manufacturing processes.
CIDB IBS extends its special thanks to REHDA Selangor as the event organiser and to MGB Sany for graciously hosting the seminar and factory visit. Through expert sharing sessions and on-site exposure, the seminar provided a holistic platform for learning, collaboration, and advancing IBS adoption across the construction industry.
