CIDB IBS Sdn Bhd has successfully demonstrated compliance with ISO 37001 requirements and attained ABMSCertification in ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ABMS) for provision of technical advisory, training, assessment and certification related to Industrialized Building System (IBS).
Ir. Ts. Zuraihi Abd Ghani, CEO of CIDB IBS Sdn Bhd, stated that “The ISO 37001 ABMS certification is structured in an efficient way where it not only identifies risks and weaknesses in the organization’s anti-corruption framework, it also outlines measures designed to improve the framework. By implementing the principles and procedures of ISO 37001: 2016 ABMS, CIDB IBS has demonstrated the highest level of compliance in preventing and detecting corruption and will enjoy better internal systems and procedures, better operational efficiencies and top-down confidence throughout the organization”.
Although the ISO 37001 ABMS is not a silver bullet to mitigating bribery risks (as there is no regulation that can make organizations immune from bribery) we should take all possible measures to prevent it from occurring. ISO 37001 ABMS comprises ten clauses to help your company build a robust ABMS. The certification process itself is not a type of ‘checkbox’ review by auditors. There are a few stages that ensure that the applicants have put the system into action.
