On 19th December 2018, an MOU signing ceremony were held between CIDB IBS Sdn Bhd & Sany Construction Industry Development (M) Sdn Bhd in TPC Kuala Lumpur. The collaboration was to further enhance Industrialised Building System (IBS) in Malaysia’s construction industry.
Datuk Ir Elias Ismail, Deputy Chairman of CIDB IBS Sdn Bhd was signing on behalf of CIDB IBS Sdn Bhd while Mr Wang Zhenyi, Managing Director of SANY signing on behalf of SANY. Also, signing as witnesses were Mr Rozaiman Hj Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of CIDB IBS Sdn Bhd and Mr Chang Bar Kuei, Executive Director of SANY.
Meanwhile, Dato’ Ir Ahmad ‘Asri Abdul Hamid, Chief Executive of CIDB were quoted saying, “Through the efforts of these two parties, CIDB looks forward to seeing an increase in the number of IBS manufacturers, IBS installers, and IBS contractors in Malaysia. We foresee that the synergy of purpose and intent between the two parties will further enable the larger CITP goal of building up the IBS ecosystem in Malaysia.”
The partnership comprises of vital collaboration inclusive of knowledge and expertise sharing regarding IBS that could add value to local construction industry. The collaboration is also heading towards building capacity through skills training, apprenticeship programs, up skill and re-skill in IBS related areas.
